The Smart control panel will work with any 2.4 Ghz wireless network that supports WPA2/3-PSK encryption. Unsecured wireless networks are also supported.
Note: The Smart control panel will not work with WPA2/3 Enterprise networks, or with networks using the 5 Ghz frequency bands
The Autodoor uses sophisticated safety sensors to protect hens that dawdle in the doorway, just like elevator doors. After gently nudging and opening again, the Autodoor will attempt to close 5 more times until the path is clear.
There are two main reasons that your chickens and you will love a Coop Light.
Firstly, having a light in the coop will encourage the chickens to return to their house when it gets dark. This is especially good if you have one or two hens that tend to stay out longer than the rest.
Secondly, it’s useful to have a light in the coop if you want to check on your hens when it’s dark, maybe as you come home from work or just before you go to bed. The hens won’t be bothered by you turning on the light for a minute and peeking into the coop.

The power (brightness) of the Coop Light is 1.5 watts and it is an LED light. This is equivalent to a 15 watt light bulb.
We recommend only using good quality AA batteries with your Omlet Autodoor. We do not recommend rechargable batteries as these provide less power than regular ones, and will result in lower battery life
Please make sure you use 4 batteries that are the same brand, same type and same energy level.
If you are using the Autodoor with WiFi, we recommend using the mains power adaptor provided to get the most out of the Smart features.
You can only use one setting at a time on the Omlet Automatic chicken coop door. Though you can change which setting you use via the App at any point. You change the settings by click the Settings icon next to the device. Then click on “Door Settings”. Select the right mode for you, and then tap Save
Please note you might want to change which setting you use throughout the year, depending on your flock’s routine and the number of daylight hours.
No, the motor in the door is designed to open the door horizontally. It is also important to note that the crush detector won’t work properly when mounted vertically as chickens could sit on it and thereby activate it the whole time which would prevent the door from attempting to close.
The Autodoor is designed to be used by adult chickens, and it’s wise to only use manual mode if you have chicks in the flock.
No, you can only use either batteries or mains separately. The batteries will not kick in if the mains cable is installed into the control panel.
You can change how long the coop light stays on for by clicking on the setting icon for the autodoor. Then select Coop Light settings. You can select the time from the “Maxiumum time on:” dropdown box. If you are using your door on battery, then you might want to reduce this time to 5 minutes to reduce the battery usage
You can use the app to control your door anywhere your phone is connected to the internet, either via mobile data or Wi-Fi networks. Providing your Door at home is connected to your Wi-Fi network.
Your Door settings are saved locally to the control panel. So even if your network drops out the Door will continue to use these settings to open and close. You just won’t be able to control the device via the app whilst the Wi-Fi is down.
